Mark Gurman of Bloomberg has tweeted that Apple will start accepting existing models like the 13-inch M2 MacBook Air and 13-inch M2 MacBook Pro under the trade-in program starting June 5, hinting at the imminent launch of the next-generation Macs, possibly with the new M3 chip at WWDC 2023.
According to various reports including one from Gurman, Apple is likely to unveil at least three new Macs at its developers’ conference, which could include a 15-inch MacBook Air, iMac, and Mac Pro.
Apple’s first 15-inch MacBook Air is also expected to go official at WWDC 2023. It is said to boast a design similar to the M2 MacBook Air, and it is rumoured to feature MagSafe charging, a couple of USB Type-C ports, and be powered by an Apple M2 processor.
The base model of the 15-inch MacBook Air is likely to ship with at least 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage.Similarly, the iMac is also expected to receive a specs bump and be powered by the same M2 processor as the MacBook Air
Lastly, the company is expected to announce the new Mac Pro, which is speculated to be the most powerful Mac with Apple Silicon, offering support for easy memory and storage upgrades.
