India made its impact at the Asian Games 2023, excelling in specific sports to bring the country a total of 33 medals. Until the morning of September 29, five gold medals had been won in shooting, one in cricket, and one in equestrian.

Sift Kaur Samra won gold in shooting by setting a world record.

Roshibina Devi Naorem took silver in the Women’s 60 Kg Wushu final. Esha Singh took second place in the Women’s 25 Metre Air Pistol solo event.
Neha Thakur earned a silver medal in sailing in the Girl’s Dinghy class. Individual competitors contributed to the three bronze medals won by the women’s 10m air rifle team.
India’s rowing squad demonstrated consistency and collaboration by winning two silver and three bronze medals. Silver medals were added to the tally in the men’s lightweight double sculls and men’s eight categories.
Men’s pair, men’s four, and men’s quadruple sculls all won bronze medals.
The Indian women’s team earned bronze in squash, while Aishwary Tomar won silver for India in the Men’s 50-meter Rifle 3 Positions.
