Dawood Ibrahim, A Wanted Man, At A Hospital in Karachi after being poisoned

Dawood Ibrahim Kaskar, a fugitive underworld don, has been hospitalized in Karachi owing to a significant health problem. Several accounts claim that the fugitive don was poisoned, although there has been no official confirmation from either the Indian or Pakistani sides.

Ibrahim had been in the hospital for around two days as of Monday. His security cover has been increased because he is the lone patient on his floor. According to insiders, the security is so strict that only Ibrahim’s close family members and top hospital officials have access to the floor.

Furthermore, there are claims in Pakistani media that internet connections were disrupted practically everywhere in Pakistan on Sunday. Users experienced problems accessing YouTube, Facebook, and X, formerly known as Twitter.

The applications, particularly the internet versions, have been unavailable in the nation since 7 p.m. on Sunday. According to Geo News, the hardest damaged cities were Karachi, Mir Pur Khas, Lahore, and Rawalpindi.  Back in Mumbai, police are attempting to elicit further information about Dawood Ibrahim’s hospitalization from his relatives Alishah Parkar and Sajid Wagle.

Alishah Parkar, the son of the don’s sister Haseena Parkar, told the National Investigation Agency (NIA) earlier this year that Ibrahim is in Karachi and has married for the second time.

The NIA stated in its chargesheet against the underworld don that he and his aides control Karachi airport since Ibrahim’s and his close collaborator Chhota Shakeel’s passports, as well as those of their family members who visited Pakistan, were never stamped by Karachi airport authorities.

He further stated that the don has not yet divorced his first wife, Maizabin, who communicates with people through WhatsApp conversations. He also stated that he met Maizabin in Dubai in July, when she informed him about Dawood’s second marriage. 

Alishah Parkar says Dawood Ibrahim’s second marriage is a ploy to divert attention away from his first wife, Maizabin. Parkar also sent information regarding the fugitive don’s brothers, Sabir Ibrahim Kaskar, Noora Ibrahim Kaskar, Mustaqeem Ibrahim Kaskar, Iqbal Kaskar, Anees Ibrahim, and Mohammed Humayoon Ibrahim Kaskar, to the central agency. 

Dawood Ibrahim is suspected of being the mastermind of the 1993 Mumbai bombings. More than 250 people were killed and others were injured in the blasts. Ibrahim was designated a “global terrorist” by both the Indian and US governments in 2003.

He is now on the ‘Most Wanted List’ in India. According to Indian police, Ibrahim lives in Pakistan’s Clifton district. Pakistani officials, on the other hand, have denied that he ever lived there.
