PM Narendra Modi to visit Gurugram, Haryana, today. This is to inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for 112 National Highway projects across the country. The project worth a value of approximately ₹ 1 lakh crore.
The prime minister will inaugurate the Haryana section of the pivotal Dwarka Expressway. This will help enhance traffic flow and ease congestion between Delhi and Gurugram on the National Highway-48.
Dwarka Expressway route
The 19-km-long Haryana section of the eight-lane Dwarka Expressway has been made at an estimated cost of ₹ 4,100 crore. It includes two packages of 10.2km long from Delhi-Haryana Border to Basai Rail-over-Bridge (ROB). The other is 8.7km long from Basai ROB to Kherki Daula.
It will also give direct connectivity to the IGI Airport in New Delhi and Gurugram Bypass.
Other Projects PM Modi will Inaugurate
Other major projects that PM Modi will inaugurate include the 9.6km stretch six-lane Urban Extension Road-II (UER-II)-Package 3 from Nangloi-Najafgarh Road to Sector 24 Dwarka section in Delhi; three packages of Lucknow Ring Road construct at the cost of about ₹ 4,600 crores in Uttar Pradesh; Anandapuram-Pendurthi-Anakapalli section of NH-16 in Andhra Pradesh developed at the cost of about ₹ 2,950 crore; Kiratpur to Nerchowk section of NH-21 in Himachal Pradesh worth ₹3,400 crore; In Karnataka Dabaspet – Hoskote section cost of ₹2,750 crore and 42 other projects in different states worth ₹20,500 crores.
PM Narendra Modi will also lay the foundation for various national highway projects across the country.
According to the statement, these projects will contribute towards the growth of the national highway network. Further, it will boost socio-economic growth, enhance job opportunities, and promote commerce and trade in regions across the country.
Traffic Advisory for Today
- Antriksh Chowk Road will be closed temporarily and redirected because of a rally crowd.
- Direct vehicles from Narnaul, Rewari, and Dharuhera through Vatika Chowk, which will act as the main diversion point.
- Palwal, Faridabad, and Sohna drivers to take Clover Leaf routes to maintain the rush.
- Vehicles from Ghariharsaru and Pataudi have a different route plan to maintain the rush.
