Bangkok — According to officials, an incident took place in a childcare center in northeastern Thailand on Thursday. Thai police said, attack on a childcare center resulted in at least 35 deaths. This included 24 children and 11 adults. The shooter then drove away from the scene while still firing from his car. After reaching home, he killed his wife and kid before turning the pistol on himself.

According to authorities, the first attack occurred at around 12:30 p.m. It was when the guy, recognized as a former thai police officer, visited the childcare facility in the town of Nongbua Lamphu. In the building before the attacker escaped, 19 boys, 3 girls, and 2 adults got killed.

Online images and videos of the incident revealed sleeping mats lying around in a preschool room with blood covering the floor and alphabet posters and other vibrant wall art.
Screeches withhold on camera as distressed families sobbed outside the nursery school building. Police and medical personnel walked in the schoolyard while ambulances waited nearby.

According to Thai media sources, the attacker reportedly used knives in the attack.
The Daily News newspaper stated the culprit killed his wife and kid. This happened after he drove away home and before taking his own life. Police reported a statement. They said ” the suspect’s wife, and his child including 10 people and two children passed away outside the childcare center”.
Thailand has a greater rate of firearm-related fatalities than nations with stricter gun control legislation, including Japan and Singapore. It has lower rates than nations like the US and Brazil. In 2019, there were almost 4 firearm-related fatalities per 100,000 people. This was in comparison to 23 per 100,000 in Brazil and about 11 per 100,000 in the United States.
