Fifa supports executives for failing to inform athletes about a coach's sexual abuse

exit from the national team, a report has revealed. Canada Soccer did not follow its own policies about harassment and abuse when Luis Birarda's behavior became known to them.
Canada Soccer's strategy for inaccurately announcing the reasons for Birarda's departure was led, according to one unnamed executive, by legal advice "to protect the organization".
Canada Soccer did not acknowledge any of the harassment allegations as the reason for his dismissal. This meant the public remained unaware of the allegations.
Montagliani 'does not recall receiving any speaking notes', Concacaf has said. He was asked to attend a meeting on behalf of the Canadian Soccer
Federation's executive committee. Canada Soccer acted in good faith and there was no cover-up, according to the McLaren Report. The McLaren Report recommended that
Canada Soccer be willing to understand the trauma suffered by the 2008 U-20 Women's National Team players. Yamplosky: "If you have done something in the past and it is proven then, yes, you have to go".
