Building collapse in Delhi Kabir Nagar in the early hours of Thursday. In the incident two persons were killed and one injured. Initial reports said that local authorities received a distress call at around 2:16 am about the building collapse.
An unnamed official told ANI, when building collapsed, the first floor was vacant, while the ground floor was being used for jeans cutting. Three workers were trapped under the collapsed building. Rescue team arrived at the spot quickly to save. However, the injured when reached at GTB Hospital two of the workers were declared dead, the official added.
The dead workers have been identified as Tauhid, 20 and Arshad, 30.The third worker’s name is Rehan, 22 was seriously injured in the incident.
The North East DCP Joy Tirkey said, Rehan is currently under treatment at GTB Hospital. Efforts are currently underway to track him and legal action will be taken against him in the matter.
Also, last month a building collapse in Delhi took place in Kotla Mubarakpur area. In the same, a 32-year-old man was declared dead. Further, several other people injured after a portion of a house collapsed.
Police said that the killed person has been identified as Vinay, while 30-year-old Nathu was injured in the incident. Immediately, a fire service received a call from Gurudwara Road in Koltla Mubarakpur around 5.02 pm,an official of the Delhi Fire Service (DFS) said.
