Verstappen underlined his domination by winning his fifth straight race and eighth in nine races this season, starting from pole position for the fourth consecutive race.

Verstappen stretched his championship lead over colleague Sergio Perez, who also drives for the Red Bull team, to 81 points with this outstanding effort. The previous year’s winner on this track, Charles Leclerc, finished second, crossing the finish line 5.2 seconds after Verstappen. In the meantime, Sergio Perez finished third, 17.2 seconds behind the winner.
