MG Motor India is readying the launch of a special edition of their popular Gloster SUV, the Black Storm edition, set to debut on May 29.
The SUV will be powered by a 2.0-litre diesel engine with two options – rhe single turbo option will produce a maximum power of 161 BHP and 375 Nm of peak torque
while the twin-turbo variant will generate a potent 215 BHP and 480 Nm torque. An 8-speed automatic transmission will come as standard across both engine options.
The Black Storm will carry over notable features from the standard Gloster model, Includes dual climate control, Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) technology
An automatic panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, and voice command functionality, along with the capability for autonomous parallel parking.
Competing against models like the Toyota Fortuner, Jeep Meridian, Volkswagen Tiguan, and Skoda Kodiaq, the Black Storm Edition could MG India shore up its sales.
External details such as a metal black finish, red accents on the front and rear skid plates, ORVMs,and red inserts in the headlight clusters contribute to the vehicle’s striking aesthetics.
The front grille, Gloster lettering on the tailgate, alloy wheels, and fog lamp surrounds are all finished in black, enhancing the SUV’s “black storm” theme.
The interior also exudes a dark vibe with black upholstery and dashboard, red-colored floor mats, red inserts on door pads, and red ambient lighting.
