Against the Steelers, the Cleveland Browns rule out DE Jadeveon Clowney and others.

The Cleveland Browns have been plagued by injuries. According to head coach Kevin Stefanski, the Browns will not have Jadeveon Clowney against the Pittsburgh Steelers

on Thursday Night Football. The Browns will be without TE Jesse James and DE Chase Winovich due to the short week, it has already been decided.

In what seemed to be an ankle sprain against the Jets, Clowney was observed leaving the field wearing a walking boot.

On Sunday, Clowney strip-sacked Joe Flacco, continuing his strong start to the year. When Clowney was compelled to

leave the game, the pass rush against the Jets suffered; by the time New York finished the comeback, it was nonexistent.

It goes without saying that a guy like Clowney relieves part of the burden from Myles Garrett; nevertheless, now someone else must step up.

Alex Wright, a rookie defensive end, has been a key component of the team's early rotation; possibly he will start against the Steelers.

The Browns will probably activate Isaac Rochell on Thursday in order to offer some depth because he is currently on the practise squad.

A prolonged absence would be detrimental to both Clowney's one-year contract with the Browns and the team.
