Toyota will mass-produce the electric Hilux truck by late 2025, stated by the Thailand unit president at the 2024 Bangkok International Motor Show.

This declaration aligns with Isuzu's recent developments in the BEV space.

Isuzu Motors aims to produce its electric D-MAX pickup in Thailand by 2025, capitalizing on the country's automotive expertise and meeting the growing need for EV pickups.

Thailand is experiencing an increase in EV adoption, led by Chinese manufacturers BYD, Changan, and Great Wall Motors who have collectively invested 1.44 billion USD in the region.

The electric vehicle surpasses the diesel D-Max with 174 hp and 325 Nm total output, coming from a 66.9 kWh Li-ion battery powering the front motor (53 hp, 108 Nm) and rear motor (121 hp, 217 Nm).
