Many airlines flaunt a diverse collection of alcoholic beverages to cater to passengers' palates.

However, that trend may change as JetBlue becomes the nation’s first airline to feature non-alcoholic beverages on every domestic flight.

The airline recently partnered with Athletic Brewing to serve alcohol-free beer on its 270,000 yearly domestic departures. Passengers can begin purchasing non-alcoholic craft beer starting on May 1, 2023.

This partnership allows passengers avoiding alcohol for health or personal reasons to enjoy upscale beverages during the flight that is also an alternative to sugar-intense soft drinks.

More Americans abstain from alcohol. Other airlines may follow this trend and expand their in-flight drink selection to include non-alcoholic beverages.

Athletic Brewing Company’s Upside Dawn is available on JetBlue domestic flights. In addition to being alcohol-free, the brewer states it is crafted to remove gluten.

Although the product cannot be verified to be gluten-free as it is fermented from grains containing this protein, people with gluten sensitivities may be able to enjoy this beverage.

More travelers are cooling to alcohol consumption during travel and as a part of their regular diet.

Having the accessibility of high-quality non-alcoholic beer helps flyers enjoy the experience of an alcoholic drink without the negative consequences.
