While there was no grand prize winner, one player became an instant millionaire following the latest lottery drawing.
A player from New York hit the Match 5 and won a $1 million prize.
The player didn't match the five numbers with a Megaplier purchase, missing a chance for as much as an additional $4 million.
Aside from the lone instant millionaire, several other players won smaller prizes.
Twelve players won $10,000 each after hitting the Match 4 plus the gold Mega Ball.
Only one player matched the Match 4 plus the gold Mega Ball with the 4X Megaplier purchase, winning $40,000.
The rest of the Mega Millions prizes ranged between $2 and $2,000.
The next drawing on Friday is worth an estimated $256 million, with a cash option of $137.4 million.
Meanwhile, the deadline approaches for the $1.34 Billion Mega Millions jackpot winner from Illinois to choose between a lump sum payout or an annuity.
Winners have a year to claim their winnings, but only 60 days from the drawing to pick what type of payment they will receive.
The Illinois winner has until Sept. 27 to decide between a one-time payment of an estimated $780.5 million or 29 annual payments increasing 5% each year.
The Speedway service station in Des Plaines, Ill. will receive $500,000 for selling the winning ticket.
Mega Millions can be played in 45 states, as well as the District of Columbia and the Virgin Islands.
