Nipah Virus alert in Kerala: Educational institutions in Kozhikode closed indefinitely, Bepur port shut

Kerala has reported six confirmed cases of the deadly Nipah Virus, with four patients currently receiving treatment in hospitals.

In response to the Nipah Virus outbreak, the Kozhikode district administration has issued an indefinite closure order for all educational institutions,

To ensure continuity of education, educational institutions have been instructed to conduct online classes starting from Monday.

In addition to school closures, the district administration has taken precautions by closing the Bepur fishing harbor and fish landing center due to concerns over the Nipah Virus.
