The Suzuki V-Strom 800DE has entered India's mid-weight adventure motorcycle segment, priced at Rs 10.30 lakh, ex-showroom, after being available in global markets.

The new V-Strom must compete with the BMW F850 GS, Triumph Tiger 900, and Honda Transalp 750, all versatile for on-road and off-road riding.

Engine capacity and performance are crucial for covering miles and off-road usability. V-Strom 800DE, BMW, Honda feature twin-cylinder engines; Triumph Tiger uses a triple. Power outputs of all these bikes are similar.

The V-Strom 800DE features Showa USD front forks, a monoshock, twin front and single rear disc brakes on 21-inch front and 17-inch rear spoke wheels with block pattern tires, all supported by a 20-litre fuel tank from Suzuki.

Adventure bikes like the V-Strom 800DE have advanced electronics to help riders explore the bike's features, such as a TFT display, traction control, quickshifter, and ABS modes.

The Suzuki Drive Mode Selector (SDMS) offers three power output modes for customized riding experiences. These modes allow precise throttle control for increased confidence and enjoyment while accelerating.

The unique hexagonal LED headlights create a sharp, distinct look and offer a clear view of the road, giving the front end a light and ready-for-action appearance.
