Just over 400 Model 3s are being recalled by Tesla in the US due to possible lateral link fastener slipping.
To fix the problem that might cause the lateral link to split from the subframe
on the recalled 2018 and 2019 model year vehicles, Tesla will tighten or replace the lateral link fasteners.
A lateral link separation, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration,
could change the wheel alignment, resulting in instability and raising the likelihood of a collision.
Tesla claimed that since January 2019,
there have been no reports of collisions or injuries,
but there have been 25 warranty claims and 2 field reports that are related to or may be related to the recall.
