The Event Technical Committee of the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup 2023 has approved the change.

According to a statement issued by the International Cricket Council (ICC), Pakistan were yet to bowl 4 overs by the scheduled time.

For this reason, Pakistan has been fined 5 percent on each over.In this match, Pakistan had to face defeat by one wicket.

After the match, on-field umpires Alex Wharf and Paul Reiffel, third umpire Richard Illingworth and fourth umpire Richard Kettleborough accused Pakistan of throwing a slowover.
