The wait is almost over. The 2026 Kia Seltos is set to officially launch in India tomorrow, and it’s shaping up to be a significant upgrade over the outgoing model. With a fresh design, a longer body, a tech-heavy cabin, and advanced safety features like Level 2 ADAS, Kia is clearly aiming to raise the bar in the midsize SUV segment.
First launched in 2019, the Seltos has been one of Kia’s strongest performers in India. The 2026 update looks more evolutionary than revolutionary—but the changes are meaningful where they matter most.
Bigger Dimensions, More Road Presence
Kia has given the Seltos a noticeable size bump this time. The 2026 Seltos now measures 4,460 mm in length, 1,830 mm in width, and 1,635 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,690 mm. That makes it 95 mm longer than the outgoing version, while the wheelbase has grown by 80 mm.

In simple terms, expect better rear-seat comfort, more stability on highways, and a stronger stance on the road.
Design Updates: Familiar Yet Sharper
Visually, the new Seltos sticks to its familiar silhouette but adds sharper details. Up front, it gets Kia’s latest Star Map LED DRLs with integrated turn indicators, LED projector headlamps with a welcome function, and a blacked-out tiger-nose grille with metal accents.
The side profile now looks chunkier thanks to squarish wheel arches, thick black body cladding, flush door handles, and 18-inch alloy wheels. At the rear, connected Star Map-style LED tail-lamps, a roof spoiler, and a chunky bash plate complete the SUV look.
Trinity Panoramic Display Takes Centre Stage
Step inside, and this is where the 2026 Seltos really feels new. Kia calls it the Trinity Panoramic Display, and it’s one of the cabin’s biggest highlights.
You get:
- A 12.3-inch digital driver’s display
- A 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system
- A 5.0-inch head-up display
Together, they create a wide, seamless digital layout that feels premium and modern. The cabin also features a new three-spoke D-cut steering wheel with mounted controls, a 10-way power-adjustable driver seat with lumbar support, ventilated front seats, and a dual-pane panoramic sunroof.
Music lovers aren’t left out either, thanks to an 8-speaker Bose sound system.
Level 2 ADAS and Safety Tech
Safety gets a major boost with the introduction of a Level 2 ADAS suite. This includes features like adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, forward collision warning, and more—bringing the Seltos in line with global standards and segment expectations.
Engine Options Remain Familiar
Under the hood, Kia has stuck with its proven powertrain lineup. The 2026 Kia Seltos will be offered with three engine options:
- 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol producing 113 bhp
- 1.5-litre turbo-petrol producing 158 bhp
- 1.5-litre diesel producing 113 bhp
Transmission choices include manual, iMT, CVT, and a torque converter automatic, depending on the engine variant.

Competition in the Segment
Once launched, the new Seltos will go head-to-head with established rivals like the Hyundai Creta and the upcoming Tata Sierra. With its added size, tech-loaded interior, and ADAS features, Kia is clearly positioning the Seltos as one of the most well-rounded SUVs in its class.
The official pricing and variant-wise details will be revealed at launch tomorrow, but expectations are high—and so is the competition.
