The prize money for this year’s Wimbledon has been boosted by 17.5 percent for winners and 11.9 percent for runners-up in the Ladies and Gentlemen’s singles categories compared to the 2022 edition. The singles winners will get 2,350,000 British pounds, which converts to Rs 24.38 crores in Indian rupees. The prize money for the runners-up is Rs 12.19 crores. 

Not only do the champions and runners-up receive prize money, but so do the semi-finalists, quarterfinalists, and players who compete in every other round of every event, whether it’s singles, doubles, mixed doubles, wheelchair, or invitational doubles. This year’s Wimbledon will reward a total of 44,700,000 million British pounds, which converts to Rs 463.74 crores when converted.

Rohan Bopanna, 43, is the lone Indian qualifier at this year’s Wimbledon, competing in men’s doubles alongside his 35-year-old Australian partner Matthew Ebden. The duo is seeded sixth and is expected to get at least to the quarterfinals.
