Season 2 of Made in Heaven

Season 2 of Made in Heaven stars Mona Singh, Sobhita Dhulipala, Jim Sarbh, Arjun Mathur, Kalki Koechlin, Shashank Arora, and Trinetra.  Season two debuted after a four-year gap. The show’s first season gained critical praise and Mathur was nominated for an International Emmy.

The plot centered on two wedding planners and best friends, Sobhita’s Tara, and Arjun’s Karan, and in an anthology-style series about various weddings, couples, and relationships.

The new season is produced by Tiger Baby and Excel Media and Entertainment and has the same cast as the previous season, including Sobhita, Arjun, Shivangi Rastogi, Jim Sarbh, Kalki Koechlin, Shashank Arora, and some new faces, such as Ishwak Singh and Trinetra.

Reema Kagti in Season 2 of Made in Heaven

Reema Kagti told PTI about the show, “The Shooting of (the show) was very tough.” Made in Heaven is a monster, and even without COVID-19, season one had enough of a vast ensemble cast that there was a wedding in every episode. Photographing a wedding is a lot like photographing action; it’s a lot of fun. When COVID-19 debuted, a maximum of fifty people could be on set, but Made in Heaven will never be shot with fewer than 50 individuals. The logistics, the number of locations, and the sheer number of directors and actors. Thank you so much to the production and AD (assistant director) crews for taming this wild beast.”

“When we first began drafting season one, it was a huge experiment because there was not anything like this out there.” We had no idea what it was going to do. It put a lot of pressure on writers when it originally came out and did so well. You want to raise your game and build something bigger. The same topics are being discussed. We see things through the perspectives of women in a patriarchal culture. We’ve barely scratched the surface of goods that look harmless but, upon closer study, range from not-so-benign to extremely hazardous. So, similar themes, but maybe we’ll go deeper and dirtier,” she said.
