7) Mumbai: An official said on Monday that more than 15,000 Mumbai police officers will be on patrol at locations of competing Shiv Sena Dussehra rallies to supervise the immersion of Goddess Durga idols after the Navratri holiday concludes.

8) Chhattisgarh: The Dussehra celebration in Bastar has begun to take shape, with the arrival of idols of goddess Danteshwari and other local deities during a 75-day period in the month of Ashwin.
