Are you searching for a new motorbike in the Rs 2 lakh to Rs 3 lakh (ex-showroom) price range? If your answer is yes, there is some excellent news for you. Original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) have released new products in this price range in recent months, ranging from premium names like Harley-Davidson and Triumph Motorcycles to more mass-focused companies like Scooter India, Honda Motorcycle, and TVS Motor Company. We look at five of these new releases.
X440 Harley-Davidson
The Harley-Davidson X440 has an ex-showroom price range of Rs 2,39,500 to Rs 2,79,500. It has a 440cc, single-cylinder, 2-valve, oil-cooled petrol engine that produces 27bhp and 38Nm of peak torque. The engine is coupled to a 6-speed automatic gearbox. The X440, co-developed by Hero MotoCorp and Harley-Davidson, has had over 25,000 reservations since its July release.
Triumph Speed 400 and Scrambler 400 X
The Triumph Speed 400 costs Rs 2,33,000 (ex-showroom), while the Triumph Scrambler 400 X costs Rs 2,62,996 (ex-showroom). Both motorcycles are powered by the same 398.15cc liquid-cooled, 4-valve, DOHC, single-cylinder engine, which produces 39.5bhp and 37.5Nm of peak torque. The engine is paired with a 6-speed transmission.
Triumph’s Speed 400 and Scrambler 400 X are manufactured at Bajaj Auto’s Chakan facility as part of the two businesses’ strategic cooperation.
2023 Honda CB300R
The Honda CB300R 2023 has an ex-showroom price of Rs 2,40,000. The motorbike is powered by a 286.01cc, 4-stroke, single-cylinder, OBD2A-compliant, PGM-FI engine that produces 30.7bhp and 27.5Nm of peak torque. The engine is connected to a 6-speed gearbox. Honda’s BigWing dealerships will sell the new CB300R.
Apache RTR 310 TVS
The TVS Apache RTR 310 is priced between Rs 2,42,990 and Rs 2,63,990 (ex-showroom) and has a 312cc, single-cylinder, 4-stroke, liquid-cooled, FI engine that delivers 35.1bhp of maximum power and 28.7Nm of peak torque. The engine is connected to a 6-speed automatic gearbox.
