Chef Kunal Kapur got divorce due to the cruelty that his estranged wife, Ekta, had expressed. According to an NDTV, the Delhi High Court noted that Ekta’s actions against Kunal “lacked dignity and empathy.” Kunal had claimed that his estranged wife had treated him disrespectfully and humiliated him. Ranbir, the former couple’s son, was born in 2012. They were wed in 2008.

According to reports, Kunal Kapur, a judge on the well-liked program MasterChef India, claimed that Ekta “constantly failed to respect his parents and put him to public embarrassment.”
According to reports, Ekta refuted Kunal’s claims, claiming they were made-up attempts to deceive the court. She denied any accusations of disrespect or maltreatment on her part and said she tried to keep a loving and devoted relationship with Kunal.
Court’s Judgement on the matter
“In the light of the aforenoted facts of the present case, we find that the conduct of the respondent (wife) towards the appellant (husband) has been such that it is devoid of dignity and empathy towards him… When such is the nature of one spouse towards the other, it brings disgrace to the very essence of marriage. There is no possible reason why he should be compelled to live while enduring the agony of living together,” a bench of Justices Suresh Kumar Kait and Neena Bansal Krishna said, as per the NDTV report.
The court examined the accuracy of Kunal’s ex-wife’s claims while praising him for his rapid rise to professional success. The court questioned the legitimacy of the accusations against him, noting that his successes demonstrated his commitment and diligence.
According to reports, the court concluded that Ekta’s accusations were baseless and intended to damage her estranged husband’s reputation. According to the court, making such unfounded accusations is cruel and damages his reputation. Finally, Chef Kunal Kapurgot the divorce on the basis of same.
