Ranjeet Ranjan, a Congress Rajya Sabha MP, slammed the action film Animal, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Bobby Deol, stating, “The film’s justification of violence and misogyny is shameful.”
“Cinema is a mirror to society,” Ranjan stated in the Rajya Sabha. We’ve all grown up watching movies. Cinema has a large effect in society, particularly among young people. Certain films are coming out right now, such as Kabir (Singh), Pushpa, and now this picture, Animal.”

“My daughter and several other children were watching the movie. They sobbed and exited the theater at halftime. “It is shameful that the film justifies violence and misogyny,” she continued. Ranjan was also concerned with the film’s song Arjan Vailly.
Arjan Vailly, she said, was a key figure in Sikh history. He was the son of Sikh military hero Hari Singh Nalwa in the nineteenth century and is remembered for his bravery and gallantry. According to Ranjan, the film’s use of the song to illustrate the gang battle was inappropriate.
She also questioned the Central Board of Film Certification on how they approve films harmful to our culture.
Animal features significant performances by Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, and Rashmika Mandanna. On Wednesday, the picture, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, garnered Rs. 27.80 crore. According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the film has so far made 338 crore in India.
The plot revolves around a troubled father-son relationship in the midst of crime and the underworld. On December 1, the film was released in theaters and clashed at the box office with Meghna Gulzar’s Sam Bahadur.
