On 14 February, PM Narendra Modi, in a grand ceremony of 5000 people, inaugurated the BAPS Hindu temple. Since then, it has closed but is now open to the public. However, it has introduced specific guidelines.
Baps Hindu Temple of Abu Dhabi, inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi last month, is now open to the public. The temple opened with some guidelines issued by temple authorities, including dress codes, pet prohibition, and more. Also, the authorities set rules for photography in the temple.
BAPS Hindu Temple Guidelines
With a devotional perspective, the guidelines are introduced in different aspects. Here are the important ones:
General Guidelines
- BAPS Hindu temple will remain closed every Monday. The opening hour of the temple is 9 am to 8 pm every day.
- Visitors are requested not to bring their pets because the entry of animals into the temple is not allowed.
- Food and drinks are not allowed outside the temple. To cope with this, some Sattvik food is available inside the temple.
- Without permission flying drones are not allowed in the temple.
- Purses and small pouches are allowed in the temple, but bags and luggage are not permitted inside the temple premises.
- Shoes are not allowed inside the temple. Shoe Storage is available for visitors, and temperature-controlling tiles are used in the temple for walking.
Clothes
- Everyone has to cover their body between the neck, elbow, and ankles, and clothes with offensive designs are not allowed in the temple.
- Transparent, translucent, or tight-fitted garments are also not permitted in the BAPS Temple.
- Accessories that make reflections are also not allowed in the temple.
Smoking and Alcohol
- Smoking and Tobacco products are also banned in the facility, including the parking areas.
- Alcohol, wines, and other alcoholic products are also not allowed.
Photography
- Photography and Video recording are allowed in the temple for noncommercial purposes only. For commercial purposes, permission must be required first.
- Mobile Phones and photography are permitted on the exterior of the temple only.
About BAPS Hindu Temple, Abu DhabiÂ
The first Hindu Temple in ABU Dhabi, i.e., BAPS temple is built by Bochasanwasi Shri Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha (BAPS). It is located in Abu Mureikhak near Al Rahab on the Dubai-Abu Dhabi Sheikh Sayed Highway. The temple is built on a 27-acre site, and the cost to build it is around Rs 700 crore. The temple is made with sandstone and marble in a Nagara architectural style.Â
