Looks like Diljit Dosanjh just dropped the mic on all the chatter surrounding his supposed exit from Border 2. Amid all the noise and controversy linked to Sardaar Ji 3 and his co-star Hania Aamir, Diljit came through with a solid response — no words, just a behind-the-scenes (BTS) video from the Border 2 sets that says it all.

The Video That Ended the Rumours

On Tuesday, Diljit Dosanjh posted a BTS clip on Instagram straight from the set of Border 2, and fans are living for it. In the video, the Punjabi superstar is dressed in full military gear while shooting a high-energy scene with a group of background dancers. In the backdrop? The iconic Ke Ghar Kab Aoge track from the original Border — pure nostalgia.

With this post, Diljit has indirectly confirmed he’s still very much a part of Border 2 — despite the buzz suggesting otherwise.

So, What Was the Drama About?

The controversy kicked off when Sardaar Ji 3, starring Diljit and Pakistani actress Hania Aamir, dropped its trailer on June 22. Social media didn’t hold back — people were upset about the film’s release abroad, especially after the tragic Pahalgam terror attack.

That outrage quickly spilled over to Border 2, where rumours flew that Diljit had been dropped from the cast. FWICE (Federation of Western India Cine Employees) even wrote an open letter to Sunny Deol (who’s also starring in Border 2) urging him to distance himself from the Sardaar Ji 3 collaboration — calling it a matter of national interest

The Reality: Diljit’s Still In

Despite the noise, sources close to the production confirmed that Diljit is still locked in for Border 2. In fact, his casting was finalized 9 months ago, and half the film is already shot.

The movie, which is the sequel to JP Dutta’s iconic 1997 war drama Border, is currently in its third shooting schedule in Pune. Alongside Diljit, the film stars Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, and Ahan Shetty — a power-packed cast if there ever was one.

“The news about his replacement is not true. His casting was done 9 months ago. And we have already finished 50% of the shoot,” a crew member told NDTV.

Bottom Line: Don’t Believe Every Rumour You Hear

Let’s be real — celebrity news can get messy, especially when emotions and patriotism come into play. But Diljit’s Instagram post speaks louder than any rumour. He’s still part of Border 2, and the movie’s shoot is well underway.

So the next time someone says Diljit’s out, just send them the link to that BTS video
