According to Thane Municipal Corporation authorities, a fire burst out in the buildings of Orion Business Park and the nearby Cine Wonder Mall on Ghodbunder Road in the Kapurbawadi neighborhood of Maharashtra’s Thane district.
According to Thane Municipal Corporation’s Regional Disaster Management Centre, many fire engines have been rushed to the location. According to the officials, the police, crisis management team, and fire department personnel have all arrived at the scene.
The upper levels of the business park have offices, while the lowest floor has electronics stores. It is close to the Cine Wonder multiplex. It was one of Thane’s first multiplexes, built by the Kanakia Group. Footfalls at multiplexes decreased once larger malls including movie, retail, food, and beverage businesses opened.
“Our team was quick to the spot after we got information about the fire through the Balkum fire brigade,” RDMC head Avinash Sawant said. The local police, fire department, and RDMC crews are on the scene and putting out the fire.”
The cause of the fire has yet to be determined, according to officials.
