Under the tagline ‘India’s Most Rewarding UPI’, Flipkart brings its own new digital payments service named Flipkart UPI. It is going to be one of the most rewarding collaboration in the UPI niche between e-commerce giant Flipkart and Axis Bank.
Flipkart UPI will offer its users:- a smooth onboarding process, along with convenient & zero-cost solutions, one-click and quick payments for mobile recharge and bill payment within the Flipkart app.
ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT FLIPKART AND AXIS UPI
Available for Android Users: Initially, It is only for Android users. It lets you pay both online and offline, whether you’re inside or outside the Flipkart app.
Easy Setup: To start using Flipkart UPI, you create a UPI ID in the app. Then, you can pay merchants, individuals, and bills without switching to other apps.
Available Across Flipkart Group: This service is not just for Flipkart alone. It’s also for other companies under the Flipkart group, like Myntra, Flipkart Wholesale, Flipkart Health+, and Cleartrip.
Reduced Reliance on Other UPI Apps: With Flipkart UPI, you won’t need separate apps like Amazon Pay, Google Pay, Paytm, or PhonePe for payments.
Huge User Base: Flipkart boasts over 500 million registered users and more than 1.4 million sellers on its platform. In February alone, there were 12.1 billion UPI transactions, totaling ₹183 billion, showing a 61% increase from the previous year.

Sanjeev Moghe, president & head of Axis Bank, in response to Dheeraj Aneja says, “Our partnership with Flipkart has come a long way from launching one of India’s most successful co-branded credit cards to now launching the Flipkart UPI service. Customers can now register for UPI with the @fkaxis handle and can do all fund transfers and checkout payments using the app. This solution is cloud-hosted and hence provides one of the most stable and scalable UPI platforms for customers.”
Users with any bank account can create a new UPI ID for free of cost. However, as mentioned earlier, the feature is currently limited to Android smartphones. Moreover, It will also provides the Flipkart Axis Bank Credit Card.
