Gadar 2 box office: Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel’s film is doing well at the box office. After a stunning 55 crore haul on Independence Day, the film fell on Wednesday but comfortably reached the 250 crore milestone with 34.50 crore in early estimations, according to Sacnilk.com. The film is about to reach the 300-crore mark.
Gadar 2 has already earned a domestic total of 263.48 crore. It had a tremendous debut weekend, grossing 40 crore on Friday and 51 crore on Sunday. It dipped to 38.7 crores on Monday, but its 55 crore on Independence Day has many trade analysts speculating if it may now surpass the year’s blockbuster Pathaan.
“Going by the trajectory it’s on, Gadar 2 can possibly beat not just Pathaan, but any record there is,” film exhibitor Akshaye Rathi told on Wednesday, optimistic of Gadar 2’s prospects of topping Pathaan. It’s completely out of control right now. What you saw in Indian theatres on August 15 was really historic.”
Sunny Deol is happy
“I was quite stressed before the release of the film,” an overwhelmed Sunny Deol stated at a press conference on Monday. When the film was released, I spent the entire night crying and laughing. My father was nearby and noticed me. ‘I haven’t had any drink,’ I assured him. “Main khush aa main ki kara (I am content, what can I do).”

Gadar 2 is a sequel to the 2001 blockbuster Gadar, directed by Anil Sharma and starring Sunny Deol as Tara Singh, a truck driver, and Ameesha Patel as Sakina. It takes place during India’s partition in 1947.
Gadar 2 takes place in 1971 and follows Tara Singh as he enters Pakistan to save his kid, Utkarsh Sharma. Manish Wadhwa, Simrat Kaur, Gaurav Chopra, Luv Sinha, Rohit Chaudhary, Madhumalti Kapoor, Rakesh Bedi, Mushtaq Khan, and Dolly Bindra also appear in the film.
