- Police Sub-Inspector (PSI) & Jailer: 858 posts
- Lokrakshak, Constable, Armed Constable, SRPF Constable & Jail Sepoy: 12,733 posts
Who can apply?
Eligibility depends on the post you’re applying for:
- PSI & Jailer: Graduate degree; age between 21 and 35 years
- Constable, Lokrakshak & Jail Sepoy: Class 12 pass; age between 18 and 33 years
Candidates must also meet physical standards, including height, weight, and chest measurements (for male applicants). Age relaxation applies to SC, ST, OBC/SEBC and other eligible categories as per government norms.

Selection process explained
The recruitment process has multiple stages:
- Physical Standard Test (PST) & Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Qualifying rounds
- Written exam:
- PSI posts: Objective + descriptive papers (total 300 marks)
- Constable/Lokrakshak posts: 200 MCQs for 200 marks, with 0.25 negative marking per wrong answer
- Document verification and interview (where applicable)
