The full moon date of Ashadh month is on Monday, July 3. It is celebrated as Guru Purnima. Guru Purnima will be celebrated with pomp in the capital Bhopal. Big events will be held at more than 15 places, preparations for which are going on in full swing.
Pandit Ramjeevan Dubey Guruji of Maa Chamunda Darbar told that this time on Guru Purnima there will be a combination of auspicious yogas like Vashi, Sunfa, Budhaditya, and Brahma Yoga. On the other hand, Bhadra Yoga is being formed for the people of Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces, and Shash Yoga is for the people of Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius. Preparations underway at 15 places
Once again a glimpse of Guru-shishya tradition will be seen in the capital. The disciples will wash their feet after seeing their Guru. So there the Guru will bless him. On this auspicious occasion, on behalf of Maa Chamunda Darbar, under the leadership of Pt. Ramjeevan Dubey Guruji, Gurupurnima Mahotsav will be organized at Jyotish Math Sansthan, Nehru Nagar.
The Guru Vandana programme will be held in over 15 locations. More than 2500 disciples in the city will accept Gurudakshina and commit to following the Gurus’ path. Disciples will reach their respective gurus’ places and receive their blessings by presenting gifts to them.
Pandit Vishnu Rajauria told that Maharishi Ved Vyas was born on the full moon of the month of Ashadha, hence it is also called Vyas Purnima. Maharishi Vedvyas composed all four Vedas. For this reason, he is given the status of the first Guru.
Auspicious Time
According to the Panchang, the auspicious time for Ashadh Purnima Monday, July 3, is from 10:15 am to 11:15 am on Guru Purnima. After this, there will be Abhijeet Muhurta from 12:15 to 1:30 in the afternoon. After noon, there will be auspicious time of profit-nectar from four to six in the evening.
Auspicious Time To Get Guru Mantra
Indra Yoga on Guru Purnima is from morning till 12:15 noon, on the day of Guru Purnima the person who recites Guru Mantra in this yoga, becomes victorious everywhere. On the day of Guru Purnima, the Moon stays in Sagittarius, which is ruled by Jupiter. Also there is Puvarshadha Nakshatra, which is currently ruled by Venus.

Guru Purnima Worship Method
On the day of Guru Purnima, after taking bath in the morning, worship Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu. After this, worship Devguru Brihaspati, Maharishi Ved Vyas, then worship your Guru.
Offer them new clothes, gurudakshina, sweets, quince, etc. and seek blessings from them for a happy future. If your Gurudev is Brahmalin, then go to his tomb and bow down, worship him by offering flower garlands and wish for his blessings.
