Chinese smartphone brand iQOO is gearing up to launch the iQOO 15R in India on February 24, and on paper, it’s shaping up to be a serious performance-first phone. Ahead of the official unveiling, the company has updated its Amazon India microsite, confirming several design and software details while hinting at aggressive hardware under the hood.
The iQOO 15R will run Android 16-based OriginOS 6 out of the box. iQOO has also promised four major Android updates and six years of security patches, a move that adds long-term value in a segment where software support is often limited.

Slim design, massive battery
iQOO is calling the 15R India’s slimmest smartphone with a 7,600mAh battery. Despite the large battery size, the phone is said to retain a sleek profile and premium in-hand feel. Fast charging support is confirmed, with reports pointing to 100W wired charging, which should comfortably deliver all-day usage even for heavy users.
Display and performance focus
The iQOO 15R is expected to feature a 6.59-inch AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. Adaptive refresh rate switching should help balance smooth visuals with power efficiency.
On the performance side, the phone is tipped to run on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset from Qualcomm. iQOO is claiming an AnTuTu score of over 3.5 million and has highlighted support for 144fps gameplay in BGMI. A dedicated Q2 gaming chip is also expected, aimed at reducing latency and improving frame stability during long gaming sessions.
Cameras and design
In the camera department, the iQOO 15R is likely to sport a 200MP primary sensor with OIS, paired with an 8MP ultra-wide camera. For selfies, a 32MP front camera is expected.

Design-wise, the phone features smoother, rounded edges and a square rear camera module with softly curved corners. Colour options are said to include a Dark Knight black finish and a blue variant.
Expected price in India
The Amazon listing suggests the iQOO 15R will be priced under Rs 50,000 in India. That places it directly against rivals like the OnePlus 15R, which starts at Rs 47,999. If iQOO delivers on its performance and battery claims, the 15R could appeal strongly to gamers and power users looking for flagship-grade hardware without crossing the Rs 50,000 mark.
