Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) is set to kick off school admissions for the academic session 2026–27, starting with Nursery, Preparatory and Class 1 from January 7, 2026. Parents and guardians can apply online through the university’s official admission portal admission.jmi.ac.in.
According to the official admission notice released by Jamia Millia Islamia, the application window for these entry-level classes will remain open till January 27, 2026. The process is completely online, and applicants are advised to carefully go through the eligibility rules and age criteria before submitting the form.
Nursery, Prep and Class 1: What Parents Should Know
Admissions for Nursery, Preparatory and Class 1 will be conducted at Mushir Fatma Nursery School and Syed Abid Husain Senior Secondary School (Self-Financed).

The application fee for each form is Rs 500, payable online during submission. Jamia has clarified that incomplete or incorrect forms may be rejected, so parents should double-check details before final submission.
Admissions for Class 6 and Class 9 to Begin in February
For students seeking admission to Class 6 and Class 9, Jamia will release application forms on February 5, 2026. The last date to apply for these classes is March 5, 2026.
Admissions at this level will be held across:
- Jamia Senior Secondary School
- Jamia Girls Senior Secondary School (Self-Financed)
- Syed Abid Husain Senior Secondary School (Self-Financed)
The application fee remains Rs 500 for these classes as well.
Class 11 Admissions and Balak Mata Centres Schedule
Jamia has also announced timelines for Class 11 (Science, Arts and Commerce) admissions. Forms will be available from February 20, 2026, with the deadline set for March 20, 2026.
Meanwhile, admissions for Balak Mata Centres will open on March 5, 2026 and continue till April 20, 2026, with a nominal application fee of Rs 50.
