Kia Seltos 2025 Model To Be Revealed on Dec 10: Big Changes Coming

Kia is gearing up for one of its biggest global debuts of 2025, as the all-new generation Seltos is set to be unveiled on December 10 in South Korea. The SUV, which has been a strong pillar for Kia since its India launch in 2019, will enter a completely new chapter with a full-model redesign—its first major overhaul since launch.

The updated Seltos is expected to go on sale in international markets next year, with an India launch likely in early 2026.

Bolder, Sharper Exterior Inspired by Larger Kia SUVs

Fresh spy shots show that Kia hasn’t held back this time. The new-gen Seltos appears to have undergone a near-total redesign, borrowing cues from the brand’s flagship SUVs.

The front fascia gets a more upright and muscular stance. A newly designed mesh-style grille, vertically stacked LED headlamps and bold C-shaped DRLs give the SUV a premium look. The bonnet looks more sculpted, and the bumper has grown chunkier to enhance road presence.

From the side, the SUV maintains its familiar proportions but brings in new elements such as Y-shaped dual-tone alloy wheels, a sharper character line and a triangular rear-quarter window. At the back, C-shaped LED tail-lamps connected by a sleek light bar complete the makeover.

Completely Revamped Cabin With Premium Touches

Inside, the Seltos is expected to offer a full cabin redesign. Kia is said to be working with a flatter, wider dashboard that uses soft-touch materials and new textures to elevate the in-cabin feel.

A larger floating touchscreen connected to a fully digital instrument cluster will dominate the dashboard. The brand is also expected to offer advanced ambient lighting, new UI/UX for infotainment and better connected-car features.

Popular features—like ventilated seats, powered driver’s seat with memory, panoramic sunroof, automatic climate control and six airbags—should continue.
However, this generation is likely to bring more ADAS functions to boost safety.

Powertrains to Continue, Hybrid May Join Later

Mechanically, Kia is expected to retain its existing engine lineup:

  • 1.5-litre NA petrol
  • 1.5-litre turbo-petrol
  • 1.5-litre diesel

Both manual and automatic gearbox options will be offered.

There is also growing speculation about a hybrid variant later in the lifecycle, possibly for the Indian market as well. Internationally, some trims could even receive all-wheel drive, though it remains uncertain for India.
