Mahindra has officially kicked off pre-bookings for its upcoming flagship SUV, the XUV 7XO, giving buyers an early chance to reserve the model ahead of its full market debut. Bookings opened today at 12 PM with a token amount of Rs 21,000, while the official launch is locked in for January 5, 2026.
The XUV 7XO is positioned as a heavily refreshed successor to the XUV700 and signals Mahindra’s next step in blending modern design with high-end tech and comfort.

How to book the Mahindra XUV 7XO
Customers can place their pre-bookings either through authorised Mahindra dealerships or via the company’s official online booking platform. During the booking process, buyers can select their preferred engine option, transmission, and dealership, making the experience straightforward and flexible.
What the teasers reveal about the design
Recent official teasers point to a sharper, more futuristic look for the XUV 7XO. The SUV appears to draw design inspiration from Mahindra’s electric concepts, especially the XEV 9S.
Up front, the SUV features a new LED DRL signature, projector headlamps, and a vertically-accented chrome grille. At the rear, the standout element is an inverted L-shaped lighting design, connected by a full-width LED light bar. New dual-tone alloy wheels and fresh colour options further add to the SUV’s updated road presence.
Despite the visual updates, the overall dimensions are expected to remain largely unchanged from the XUV700.
Cabin gets a major tech upgrade
One of the biggest highlights is the triple-screen dashboard setup. Much like the XEV 9e, the XUV 7XO will feature three 12.3-inch displays—one each for infotainment, the digital instrument cluster, and the co-driver screen. This layout places the SUV among the most tech-loaded offerings in its segment.
Mahindra has also confirmed features such as Electric Boss Mode, which allows extended adjustment of the front passenger seat to maximise rear-seat legroom. Rear window sun blinds are also included, adding a premium touch and improving comfort for rear passengers.

Engine options likely to stay familiar
Under the bonnet, Mahindra is expected to continue with its tried-and-tested powertrains. These include the 2.0-litre turbo-petrol mStallion engine and the 2.2-litre mHawk diesel, paired with six-speed manual and automatic gearboxes. Official performance figures and variant-wise details will be revealed closer to launch.
What to expect next
With pre-bookings now open and the launch date confirmed, more information around pricing, variants, and feature distribution is expected in the coming weeks. Given the popularity of the XUV700, the XUV 7XO is likely to attract strong interest from buyers looking for a premium, tech-forward SUV.
