Mahindra has dropped a fresh teaser for the upcoming XUV 7XO, and it finally gives us a proper peek inside the cabin. The big takeaway? A triple-screen dashboard layout and a comfort-focused ‘Boss Mode’ for rear passengers. With pre-bookings now open at Rs 21,000, the SUV is gearing up for its official India launch on January 5, 2026.
The new teaser was released to mark the start of bookings and highlights how Mahindra is pushing the XUV 7XO further up the premium ladder.
Triple screens and a tech-heavy cabin
The teaser video opens with a clear look at the dashboard and steering wheel, confirming a triple-screen setup inside the XUV 7XO. This layout is expected to include a digital instrument cluster, a large central touchscreen, and a third display for the co-passenger—similar to what we’ve seen on newer Mahindra electric concepts.

Also visible is a new two-spoke steering wheel with a premium finish, paired with a dual-tone interior theme that looks clean and modern. Mahindra seems to be focusing heavily on tech appeal this time, especially for buyers who want a futuristic cabin experience.
Boss Mode and comfort-focused features
One of the standout features teased is ‘Boss Mode’. With the push of a button, the co-passenger seat slides forward, freeing up extra legroom for the rear passenger sitting behind. It’s a feature we’ve seen on luxury sedans and premium SUVs, and its inclusion here shows Mahindra’s intent to target comfort-seeking buyers.
Apart from this, the XUV 7XO is expected to offer ventilated and powered seats, an auto-dimming IRVM, and a Level 2 ADAS suite. While Mahindra hasn’t confirmed the full feature list yet, the teaser makes it clear that this SUV will be loaded.
What the exterior design hints so far
Mahindra has already shared multiple exterior teasers over the past few weeks. Up front, the XUV 7XO is likely to sport an inverted 7-shaped LED DRL signature along with quad-LED projector headlamps. The design closely resembles the newer Mahindra XEV 9S, suggesting a shared design language.
At the rear, the SUV is expected to carry forward the familiar LED tail-lamp layout seen on the XUV700, but with subtle tweaks to keep things fresh.
Engines likely to remain unchanged
Mechanically, the Mahindra XUV 7XO isn’t expected to bring surprises. It will likely continue with the existing 2.0-litre turbo-petrol and 2.0-litre turbo-diesel engines. Both motors are expected to be offered with 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic gearbox options.
This approach makes sense, as both engines are already well-proven in Mahindra’s lineup and deliver strong performance and drivability.

If the teaser is anything to go by, Mahindra is clearly aiming to make the XUV 7XO one of the most tech-forward and comfortable SUVs in its segment.
