Maruti Suzuki has capped off calendar year 2025 on a high, rolling out more than 22.55 lakh vehicles, the highest annual production in the company’s history. The milestone also marks the second straight year that India’s largest carmaker has crossed the 20-lakh production mark, underlining steady demand and expanding manufacturing strength.
The record output comes at a time when the domestic auto industry is seeing stronger consumer sentiment, rising SUV demand, and improving export momentum.

Strong Growth Over Five Years
A look at Maruti Suzuki’s production numbers over the past five years shows a clear upward trend. Output stood at 16.29 lakh units in CY 2021, rising to 19.16 lakh units in 2022. The company maintained momentum with 19.34 lakh units in 2023, followed by 20.63 lakh units in 2024.
The jump to 22.55 lakh units in CY 2025 represents the sharpest year-on-year increase in this period, pointing to better capacity utilisation, improved supply chain stability, and a broader product mix—especially in the SUV and crossover segments.
Top Models Powering Volumes
The 2025 production figures include vehicles manufactured for domestic sales, exports, and OEM supplies. Models such as the Fronx, Baleno, Swift, Dzire, and Ertiga emerged as the biggest contributors by volume, reflecting strong demand across urban and semi-urban markets.
Compact cars and utility vehicles continued to form the backbone of Maruti Suzuki’s portfolio, helping the company maintain scale while catering to varied price segments.
Exports Hit All-Time High
Alongside record production, Maruti Suzuki also reported its highest-ever annual exports in 2025. Growing acceptance of Made-in-India models in global markets has played a key role, with exports now forming a more meaningful share of overall volumes.
Manufacturing Footprint Across India
Maruti Suzuki’s manufacturing journey began in 1983 with its first plant in Gurugram, Haryana. Since then, the company has steadily expanded its footprint with facilities in Manesar and Kharkhoda in Haryana, along with the integration of its Gujarat plant.
Together, these facilities manufacture 17 models and over 650 variants, supported by a deep, multi-tier supplier ecosystem spread across the country.

“This record production is a result of the dedication of our employees and the strong synergy that we share with our supplier partners.
