Sources say Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah actors Munmun Dutta and Raj Anadkat engaged earlier this month outside Mumbai. Babita, aka Munmun, 36, and Old Tapu, aka Raj, 27, swapped rings in front of their families. Raj Anadkat left TMKOC in December 2022.
Further report says, Munmun and Raj got engaged in a private ceremony outside Mumbai. The engagement happened only a few days ago. The two appear to have swapped rings in Vadodara, Gujarat.
The source adds, “They’ve been dating since Raj joined Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah.” It was obvious. Everybody on set knows about it. Some individuals were convinced that Munmun and Raj would marry eventually. As a result, it is not surprising that they are now engaged.
The media has regularly tried out to Munmun Dutta and Raj Anadkat for comment, but neither has responded.
Prior Dating Rumours Of Munmun & Anadkat
In September 2021, the Times of India claimed that Munmun Dutta and Raj Anadkat were dating. According to the TOI report, every member of the ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah team was aware of the friendship between the two. However, Munmun denied the report and issued a strong dissent against the same on her social media profile.
“To the media and their zero credibility ‘journos,’ who gave you the authority to post ‘imaginary’ made up’ stories in people’s names about their private lives without their permission? Are you responsible for the harm you inflict on their lives by your irresponsible actions? You don’t stop at putting your cameras in the face of a grieving widow who has recently lost her love or son during a funeral merely for TRPs. You can go to any length to make sensational articles/headlines at the expense of someone’s dignity, but will you accept responsibility for causing havoc in their lives? If not, you should feel ashamed of yourself!!” She’d written.
Later, Raj responded to the dating rumors with an Instagram statement. “To everyone who has been writing about me regularly, consider the consequences of your ‘COOKED UP’ (false) stories about my life, especially if they were written without my permission. All the creative folks out there, please channel your imagination somewhere else; it will benefit you. May God bless them with excellent sense.”
