OnePlus is gearing up for a big December splash. The company has officially confirmed that the OnePlus 15R and the new OnePlus Pad Go 2 will launch on 17 December. The 15R is being positioned as a value-focused addition to the recently introduced OnePlus 15 series, while the Pad Go 2 aims to refresh the mid-range tablet lineup.
The brand is also expected to introduce a new stylus accessory designed for everyday note-taking and light creative use. With multiple products landing on the same day, OnePlus fans are in for a packed upgrade cycle.
OnePlus 15R: Expected Price in India
OnePlus hasn’t revealed the official pricing yet, but industry reports suggest the OnePlus 15R could start around ₹44,999.

This aligns with the company’s strategy of keeping the R-series in the premium mid-range segment — offering flagship-level performance without the flagship price tag.
Design and Display
The OnePlus 15R is tipped to arrive in two colours:
- Charcoal Black
- Mint Breeze
A flat metal frame, clean aesthetics, and a neat camera layout in the top-left corner give it a modern look.
Up front, the phone may feature a 165Hz OLED display, which would make it one of the smoothest screens in its price bracket — ideal for gaming, scrolling, and overall fluid performance.
Performance: Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 Expected
If leaks hold true, the OnePlus 15R could be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset. That’s a serious upgrade for the R-line, bringing it closer to the flagship OnePlus models.
Better efficiency, faster processing, and improved thermals are expected, which should translate to solid all-round performance.
Massive 7,800mAh Battery
One of the headline features of the 15R is likely its 7,800mAh battery — easily one of the largest capacities in this segment.
Paired with fast charging (details yet to be revealed), the phone is shaping up to be a powerhouse for heavy users who don’t want to worry about mid-day recharges.
Durability Ratings
Surprisingly, the phone may come with multiple rugged certifications, including:
- IP66
- IP68
- IP69
- IP69K
This level of dust, water, and high-pressure protection is rare in mid-range phones and gives the 15R an edge for users who need extra durability.
OnePlus Pad Go 2 Also Launching
Alongside the phone, OnePlus will unveil its next tablet — the Pad Go 2.
It will succeed the 2023 Pad Go and is expected to offer updates in display quality, chipset performance, and accessories support. The stylus teased by the brand is likely to target students, casual users, and creators who want an affordable productivity device.

What to Expect on December 17
The launch event is expected to highlight:

With strong competition in the mid-range space, the combination of a high-refresh display, Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, and a bigger battery could make the 15R one of the most talked-about phones this month.
