OPPO is set to officially launch the Reno15 series in India today, January 8, and ahead of the event, fresh details around pricing, specifications, and exchange offers have put the spotlight firmly on the Reno15 Pro. Thanks to an aggressive exchange programme, buyers may be able to bring home OPPO’s new 200MP camera flagship for well under ₹20,000.
The Reno15 lineup positions itself as a camera-first premium series, introducing a new compact Pro Mini variant alongside the standard Reno15 and Reno15 Pro.

Camera Takes Centre Stage
OPPO has already confirmed several key features through its official listings on Flipkart and Amazon India. The Reno15 Pro and Pro Mini both feature a 200MP ultra-clear main camera with OIS, backed by a 50MP telephoto portrait lens offering 3.5x optical zoom and a 50MP ultra-wide sensor.
OPPO says its new PureTone imaging tech focuses on realistic lighting and skin tones rather than heavy portrait blur. On the video side, the phones support 4K HDR recording at up to 60fps across all cameras, including the front lens.
Performance, Display and Build
The Indian variants run on the MediaTek Dimensity 8450 chipset built on a 4nm process, aimed at balancing performance with power efficiency. The Reno15 Pro comes with a 6.78-inch AMOLED display, while the Pro Mini offers a more compact 6.32-inch panel. Both support a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate.
Build quality is another highlight. The series uses an aerospace-grade aluminium frame and carries IP66, IP68 and IP69 ratings, making it one of the most water- and dust-resistant phones in its segment. OPPO is also debuting its HoloFusion glass design in India, which gives the back panel a layered, liquid-like visual effect.

How the Reno15 Pro Drops Below ₹20,000
This is where things get interesting. OPPO’s official exchange programme is offering unusually high buyback values on recent premium smartphones. Exchanging an Apple iPhone 16 Pro can fetch up to ₹53,690, bringing the effective cost of the Reno15 Pro down to around ₹14,300.
Users upgrading from OPPO’s own Find X8 Pro can get exchange values of up to ₹42,990. Even rival flagships like the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra are eligible for combined exchange and bank benefits, though base values vary by device condition.
Sale Date and Availability
While the launch event takes place today, OPPO has not officially confirmed the first sale date. Based on past Reno launches, pre-orders are expected to open immediately after the announcement, with open sales likely to begin within 5–7 days.
With a 200MP camera, flagship-grade build, and one of the most aggressive exchange offers seen this year, the Reno15 Pro could be one of January’s most compelling premium upgrades for Indian buyers.
