New Delhi: Oppo has officially teased the India launch of its next premium mid-range lineup — the Oppo Reno 15 series. While the brand has kept key details under wraps so far, a fresh leak has now revealed the likely launch date, pricing range, and display specifications of the upcoming smartphones.
The Reno 15 lineup is expected to include three models: Oppo Reno 15, Oppo Reno 15 Pro, and Oppo Reno 15 Pro Mini, following the series’ debut in China earlier this year.
Oppo Reno 15 series India launch date (leaked)
According to X tipster Paras Guglani (@passionategeekz), the Oppo Reno 15 series could launch in India and other global markets on January 8 at 12 PM. The leak comes via a promotional poster that aligns with Oppo’s recent teaser activity, though the company has not officially confirmed the date yet.
If accurate, Oppo appears to be kicking off 2025 with a strong focus on its Reno portfolio, which traditionally sits just below its flagship Find series.
Expected price range in India
The same leak also hints at the expected pricing strategy for India:
- Oppo Reno 15: Expected to be priced under Rs 50,000
- Oppo Reno 15 Pro Mini: Likely to launch under Rs 40,000
- Oppo Reno 15 Pro: Tipped to be more expensive than the Reno 13 Pro
This pricing places the Reno 15 series firmly in the premium mid-range segment, where it will compete with Samsung, OnePlus, and iQOO devices.
Display sizes and protection details
Oppo seems to be focusing heavily on display quality this time. As per available information:
- Reno 15 Pro: 6.78-inch AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2
- Reno 15 Pro Mini: 6.32-inch AMOLED display
- Reno 15: 6.59-inch AMOLED display with Gorilla Glass 7i
All three models are expected to offer high brightness, vibrant colours, and slim bezels, continuing the Reno series’ design-first approach.
Build quality and durability
One of the standout upgrades on the Reno 15 lineup is durability. Oppo has confirmed that all three models will feature IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings, offering strong protection against dust, water splashes, and high-pressure water jets — a rare feature in this segment.
The phones will also sport an aerospace-grade aluminium frame, suggesting a more premium in-hand feel compared to previous Reno models.
Camera and AI features
While full camera specifications are still awaited, Oppo has officially confirmed the presence of an AI-powered portrait camera system across the Reno 15 series. Given Oppo’s track record with portrait photography, especially in the Reno lineup, camera performance is expected to be a key highlight.
