What is the RailOne App?

Launched on July 1, 2025, RailOne is designed to be your one-stop shop for almost everything related to train travel. Think of it as the Swiss Army knife of railway apps — it handles unreserved UTS tickets, live train tracking, grievance redressal, e-catering, porter bookings, last-mile taxis, and of course, ticket reservations. No more juggling multiple apps.

Free OTT Streaming on the Go

The real highlight? RailOne now integrates the WAVES OTT platform, which means passengers can stream movies, web series, documentaries, audio shows, and even play games — all for free during their journey. WAVES, launched by Prasar Bharati in November 2024, offers content in over 10 languages, covering everything from live TV to on-demand videos and regional programs.

Why WAVES OTT is Special

WAVES isn’t just another streaming platform — it’s working with regional broadcasters, content creators, and cultural institutions to bring shows and films in multiple Indian languages and dialects. This makes it a truly inclusive platform for passengers from different parts of the country.

How to Watch Free Content on RailOne

Getting started is simple:

  • Log in to the RailOne app using your mPIN or biometric ID.
  • Go to the “More Offerings” section and tap “Go To Waves.”
  • You’ll be redirected to a new page where you can start watching movies, shows, and more instantly.

Developed by CRIS, Backed by IRCTC

The RailOne app has been built by the Centre for Railway Information Systems (CRIS) and supports existing RailConnect and UTS login credentials. It’s officially authorised by IRCTC, just like other partner apps, so you can book tickets with confidence — whether reserved or unreserved.

In short, RailOne isn’t just making travel bookings easier; it’s turning train journeys into full-on entertainment experiences. So next time you hop on a train, you might just find yourself hoping for a little delay — so you can finish that last episode
