Sadhguru brain surgery at Indraprastha Apollo was an emergency situation due to internal bleeding in the skull. Doctors at the Apollo Hospital in Delhi said after the operation on Sunday, March 17, he had shown steady progress. They added,vitals of sadguru were getting back on track.
Senior Consultant Neurologist at Apollo Hospital, Dr Vinit Suri, said that for the last four weeks, Sadhguru had been suffering from severe headaches. Even with his health condition, the spiritual leader Sadhguru continued with his activities and schedules, and even on March 8, he conducted the nightlong MahaShivRatri celebration.”
On the advice of Dr Suri, Sadhguru undergoes an urgent MRI that reveals a massive bleed in the brain of Sadhguru.
The doctor had advised Sadhguru to undergo immediate hospitalization, but Sadhguru denied this and chose to attend events.
He told Dr Suri, “I have never missed a meeting in my last 40 years.”
Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev’s condition got much worse on March 17. He complained that he felt weakness in his left leg and an increasing headache with continued vomiting.
After that, he was finally admitted to the hospital. A CT scan revealed an increase in brain swelling and a life-threatening shift of the brain to one side.
A team of doctors comprising Dr. Vinit Suri, Dr. Sudheer Tyagi, Dr. Pranav Kumar, and Dr. S Chatterjee conducted an emergency brain surgery. This happened within hours of his admission to relieve the bleeding in the skull. Sadhguru was weaned off the ventilator after the surgery. The doctor said that Sadhguru was healing faster than expected.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said he spoke to the spiritual leader Sadhguru and wished him a speedy recovery. He posted on X (formally Twitter) and said, “Spoke to @SadhguruJV Ji and wished him good health and a speedy recovery.”
In PM Modi’s reply, Sadhguru said Dhanyavad to him.
Dr S Jaishankar, External Affairs Minister, also posted on X to wish Sadhguru a speedy recovery. “Deeply concerned on hearing about Sadhguru ji’s surgery. Wish him a full and speedy recovery,” S Jaishankar wrote.
