But Sanvikaa had concerns—especially since Panchayat is widely watched by families across India. “I was honestly worried about how people would react. It just didn’t feel right for the vibe of the show.”

Eventually, the team scrapped the car scene and came up with a more subtle version: the now-viral water tank scene. “They told me it would be shot aesthetically and wouldn’t look vulgar,” Sanvikaa explained. “But honestly, even during filming, it still felt a bit awkward.”
She also clarified that the final version wasn’t a literal kiss—it was more of a suggestive moment, something reminiscent of the old-school Bollywood style.
Jitendra Kumar Helped Ease the Awkwardness
Thankfully, co-star Jitendra Kumar helped make things easier on set. “He was very supportive and made sure I was comfortable,” she said. As for her family’s reaction? “We didn’t talk about it in detail, but I think they’ll understand. They know this is part of the job.”
