First Omen: A Prequel Of Omen Franchise
The horror franchise began in 1976 when filmmaker Richard Donner released the original film. It relates what happens to a couple who learns that their little son is the Antichrist. The picture was a massive success at the box office. It become one of the year’s highest-grossing films and one of its most acclaimed horror films. It was nominated for two Oscars, with Jerry Goldsmith taking home one for Best Original Score.
Due to its popularity, the film received three sequels as part of the original film series. The name includes: Damien: Omen II (1978), Omen III: The Final Conflict (1981), and Omen IV: The Awakening (1991). The Omen, a full-fledged remake, was released in 2006. However, it fell short of the original film’s success. In 2016, A&E aired a one-season sequel series titled Damien.
