IPL 2024 [SRH vs MI] is ready for the second match between Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Mumbai Indians (MI), today on 27th March at Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium. Both SRH and MI are seeking for its first points in IPL 2024, as they both loose their first games in the final over. This made the first point match between SRH and MI very competitive.
Looking back on 23rd March, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) outperformed SRH when Harshit Rana (from KKR) successfully defend-ed 12 runs in the final over.
Rana dismissed Heinrich Klaasen and Shahbaz Ahmed despite their aggressive batting, helping KKR win by four runs. Whereas, MI led by Hardik Pandya, lose by Gujarat Titans (GT)—the team he had captained in the earlier two seasons.
Pandya faced Umesh Yadav in the final over, with Mumbai needing 19 runs to win. Although Pandya managed to score 10 runs in the first two balls by playing aggressively but lost two quick team wickets — including Pandya’s — to lose the match by 6 runs.
Pitch Report: MI vs SRH
Hyderabad’s pitches, “Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium” is criticize by bowlers as being excessively flat, which makes bowling here difficult for them.
But it’s important to remember that Mumbai’s Alzarri Joseph, a leg-spinner, scored 6/12 on this field during the 2019 IPL. This continues to be the best result in an IPL match thus far.

Bumrah vs Klaasen
Heinrich Klaasen from Sunrisers Hyderabad has emerged as a formidable T20 hitter, which also showcase his top-scoring performance in IPL 2023 and a strong start to IPL 2024.
The match between Klaasen and Bumrah is intriguing because Klaasen is skilled against both pace and spin, whereas Bumrah’s significance to Sunrisers, the Mumbai Indians might concentrate on using him against Klaasen.
