The ongoing US-Israel-Iran conflict has taken a serious turn, with reports claiming that Iran’s senior security figure Ali Larijani has been killed, according to statements attributed to defence officials. At the same time, multiple drone attacks have rocked key locations in Iraq, including a foreign embassy, raising fresh concerns about a wider regional spillover.
Embassy Attack Sparks Fire, No Casualties Reported
In one of the most alarming incidents, two explosive-laden drones struck inside an embassy compound in Iraq. The attack triggered blasts and a fire that was reportedly visible from outside the premises.
Sources within Iraq’s Interior Ministry told international media that air defence systems failed to intercept the drones in time. Sirens were heard across the compound as the situation unfolded.
Despite the scale of the attack, no casualties have been reported so far. However, early visuals and inputs suggest there has been considerable structural damage.

Again, no injuries were reported, but the incident highlights how critical infrastructure is increasingly coming under threat.

As the conflict enters its 18th day, Iran appears to be widening the scope of its response. Reports suggest that Tehran is now targeting regions and countries that host US military bases, particularly across the Gulf.
This marks a shift from earlier strikes that were more direct and limited in geography. Analysts say this could be an attempt to increase pressure on US allies while avoiding full-scale confrontation.
