Police in Bengaluru announced on Thursday that a Uzbekistan woman was found dead in a hotel room. Police believe the deceased was murdered. However, they’re still investigating.
Zareena, the victim, has been recognized. According to police, the woman came to Bengaluru on a visa for tourism four days ago and was sleeping at a hotel near the BDA Bridge in Seshadripuram.
On Wednesday, around 10:30 p.m., one of Zareena’s friends called the hotel staff to ask them to see how she was doing. Despite repeated knocks on the door, no one answered. The staff then used a master key to unlock the door and found Zareena’s dead body on the floor, her face smeared in blood.
The police were soon informed of what had happened. Initial investigations suggest that the Uzbek woman was murdered. According to police, Zareena has damaged scars on her body, especially punches to the face, indicating foul play.
The police found out that a guy named Rahul Kumar had reserved a hotel room for Zareena until March 16. The hotel manager, Gaurav Kumar Singh, filed a police report about the incident. The police have opened an investigation into the incident.
Waiting for further updates on the matter.
