To finalize the 53-man roster, the Kansas City Chiefs have until Tuesday. They are releasing one of their
quarterbacks before the deadline in order to achieve this.
The Chiefs waived and released five players.on Saturday, they said. Dustin Crum, a rookie quarterback, was one of them released.
Following the 2022 NFL Draft, the Chiefs signed Crum as an undrafted free agent out of Kent State.
He had just completed a great year with the Golden Flashes in which he broke the school record
for throwing yards and was named the MAC MVP.
Crum was invited to the NFL Scouting Combine thanks to a great
season, where he made an impression with a 4.75 40-yard sprinted.
But since Chadd Hene had already been named Patrick Mahomes' back-up, Crum was only going to be vying for that position.
