Sidharth Malhotra portrays Arun Katyal, a crack soldier in the Yodha force who is established to put things back whenever they go bad. And, according to the film’s creators, if you’re on a plane, everything is bound to go wrong. After a royally messed-up first round, our hero gets a chance to fix things, and the poor travelers are once again tossed around. The flight goes upside down; the bad guys have beards and Muslim names. The final stop is Islamabad, and their objective is to blow up the negotiations for peace between, yes, you guessed it, India.

And then the movie throws in a twist, stating, “See, we’re not prejudiced; some Pakistanis are good people; it’s only those troublesome terrorists who are to blame.” The main villain gets to say, ‘agar shanti aa gayi toh Tamara kya hoga’ while blowing things up with bombs.

This is where Yodha, courageously wearing the imprints of his career and emotional failures, comes to play his part. Even after a breakup with spouse-cum-top-notch bureaucrat (Raashii Khanna), he goes to work at the rescue operation, dealing with a slim air hostess (Disha Patani). The air hostess is hiding something, and a newbie pilot is in the seat, and it ends on a peaceful note right in the heart of our neighboring country.

The movie gets off with the best phrase in the film: iss picture ka hero main hoon.

One said, “Yodha is one of Shikdhart Malhotra’s best films; all the actors, except Disha Patani, have excellent acting”.

“Interval Block, Suspense, Climax, and Twist & Turn literally blow your mind. Sidharth Malhotra’s performance is Terrific, Storyline is Good, not up to the Mark, direction is brilliant. Disha & Rashi Acting is decent. Overall, #Yodha is a good movie (sic),” said one user on X (previously Twitter).

“The movie was average. It was just another typical Bollywood film you’ve heard of. Don’t waste your time viewing this (sic),” said one viewer who didn’t appreciate the film.
